首页 Departments Economic Development Housing Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program HOUSING REHABILITATION LOAN PROGRAM The City's Housing Rehabilitation Program offers a zero percent deferred interest loan and a three percent amortized interest loan for owners of conventional single-family homes, condominiums, and mobile homes. To be eligible for either loan, household income may not exceed the limits in the following table in the two years preceding the loan application. Applicants will be required to submit income tax returns for all adult income earners in the household. Total payment is due if you are no longer residing in the home, at the time of sale, refinance, or transfer of title. The three percent (3%) interest loan requires monthly payments and is fully amortized over 15 years. Mobile homeowners may be eligible to receive up to $15,000 and conventional single-family homeowners may be eligible to receive up to $30,000. Other eligibility requirements apply, including but not limited to: Applicants must: live on the property corresponding to the rehabilitation work/loan; not be a beneficiary of a prior City rehabilitation loan; not exceed the asset limitation; have sufficient home equity. Most home improvement work is eligible for assistance. However, any code or health and safety violations at the property must be corrected as a condition of funding. Any homes built prior to January 1, 1978, must meet the current federal regulations regarding lead-based paint. Projects eligible for program funding include stucco/siding, windows, painting, roofing, plumbing, electrical, energy-saving and weatherization work, garage doors, fumigation, flooring, heating, fencing, and items necessary for the health and safety of occupants. Examples of ineligible items include room additions, barbecues, ceiling fans, swimming pools/spas, and fireplaces.
