Natural Amenities The City of Lake Forest offers a wide variety of natural amenities which include 30 neighborhood and community parks. These include Heritage Hill Historic Park, the Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center, and the Serrano Creek and Aliso Creek Trails along with numerous other hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Shopping and Dining Amenities Within the City of Lake Forest, there are a vast array of shopping and dining experiences to satisfy the everyone's needs. Our 2 main shopping and dining areas, The Arbor on El Toro and the Foothill Ranch Towne Centre, offer a wide array of shopping and dinning experiences. Many neighborhood retail centers located throughout the City also offer great shopping and dining experiences. From the big chain restaurants to small family-owned restaurants, boutiques, and specialty stores; the City of Lake Forest has something for everyone. City Events and Facilities The City of Lake Forest offers a variety of events and programs. Lake Forest Sports Park Recently, the City of Lake Forest opened the Lake Forest Sports Park and Recreation Center, which features 5 baseball/softball diamonds, 2 synthetic turf soccer fields, 3 natural turf soccer fields, a 27,000 square-foot gymnasium/recreation center, and more. The parks throughout the City of Lake Forest have many unique features such as roller hockey rinks, shade structures, and all of our parks are universally accessible. Working with Sole Technologies, the City of Lake Forest helped develop the Etnies Skatepark, which opened in 2003. This state-of-the-art-park allows skateboarders the opportunity to practice and heighten their skills in a safe environment.
