Home Departments Public Safety CERT Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Interest Registration COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) INTEREST REGISTRATION The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. The program falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and is standardized across the nation. The course is eight sessions of three hours each.
