الرئيسية Lake Forest Town Hall Addresses Residents' Concerns Lake Forest Town Hall Addresses Residents' Concerns Posted: Wednesday, August 30, 2023 Nearly 60 residents attended the City's Town Hall on Monday, August 28, which addressed the community's concerns over Saddleback Valley Unified School District's ("SVUSD") decision to reject a proposed elementary school in the Meadows development. The City's Senior Planner presented a detailed overview of how the school site was selected, the project's environmental studies, and of SVUSD's decision. Robert Craven, the SVUSD Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, and representatives from Toll Brothers, the site developers, also were in attendance to provide feedback. The second half of the Town Hall was open for questions. Most concerns were about: - Toll Brothers' and SVUSD's demographic and environmental studies - Lack of oversight and school funds - School overcrowding - SVUSD's decision not to move forward with the development of the school site. All questions during the Q&A portion were answered, and representatives from both agencies and the City stayed after the event to address additional concerns. Residents were told where they could find additional information about the proposed project and were encouraged to reach out to staff if they had more questions.
